The legendary rock Roque Nublo (Cloudy cliff) where aboriginals in
the past kept their counsel and ceremonies. Many legends and myths have been
created around this place that is located in Gran Canaria.

top, or "finger" is about. 80 m high. |

The top part with Roque Bentayga the places that were considered
as sacred out of the first known inhabitants of the Canary Islands, the
Guanches. These places were ceremonial sites, and we have found several
inscriptions from the time. |

Over the central region of Gran Canaria, the visitor can find
archaeological parks depicting the life island's ancestors lived, as well as
the beautiful nature reserve established to preserve the fragile ecosystem of
this unique landscape. |

It is often much cooler up here and it can get pretty hazy. The
highest peaks are often obscured by cloud but when the weather is good you will
be able to enjoy spectacular panoramic views and you can even see the nearby
islands of Lanzarote, Tenerife, La Gomera and La Palma. |
